Missouri National Guard and active duty military members can now start up a new business in Missouri without having to pay certain fees. Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander announced the move today as part of the "Startups for Soldiers Act."
“As a veteran, I know the skills we learn in the military translate into every field, but it can be difficult to make sure employers know how those skills are relevant to them,” Kander said. “The Startups for Soldiers Act helps ensure we utilize the talent our servicemen and women have developed once they return home by making it easier for them to start their own businesses. I’m grateful to Representatives Jeff Roorda and Charlie Davis for their instrumental role in passing this important legislation.”
