Miami's city manager will soon be leaving to take a job to be closer to family in Port of Moses Lake in Washington. Jeff Bishop has been the city's manager for the past two and a half years. He tells News Talk KZRG what he's helped accomplish over that time.
"The community was the subject of a special state audit, we had taxpayer initiated lawsuit, that's all been completed. We took a trend of declining fund balances, and reversed that. Now the city's financial reserves are up 84%"
Bishop's last day will be August 21st. The city is currently looking for a new city manager.
