The Southwest Missouri Area Health Education Center hosted a MASH camp at Missouri Southern State University this week. Health Careers Coordinator Lindsey Bobbitt tells News Talk KZRG what students in grades 6 thru 8 learned about in the hands-on camp.
"Respiratory therapy, emergency medicine, nursing, chemical and physical sciences and the careers they can have with that... the students get to find out what they're going to be doing in a particular career, which is so important before committing yourself to an academic program or career path."
Bobbitt adds that students interested in dentistry even got to polish some teeth. The camp's held every year; to find out more call 417-347-4107 or visit http://http://ahec.missouristate.edu/
