Bright Futures Helps Sick Student

Bright Futures of Webb City is asking for your help. Junior high student, Brittany Phelps was recently diagnosed with a rare auto-immune disease, which requires frequent trips to Kansas City for treatment. Since then, her mom lost her job after taking so much time off work, and the family can no longer afford the gas to drive back and forth. Bright Futures Director Jesse DeGonia tells News Talk KZRG how you can help.

"Her family has had a lot of medical expenses, on top of the expense of traveling , so we are asking the community for gift cards to help off-set some of those gas costs."

Bright Futures is a school program that helps kids meet their immediate, basic needs to be successful.
