The graduating seniors at Joplin High School have made their mark on a school they won't attend. They wrote messages on the floor of the new high school that will open in August. Jaytrick Carlos tells News Talk KZRG he wrote his favorite saying.
"As long as you're breathing, smile. I mean, it's cheesy, I know. But it means a lot to me because my dad would always tell it to me so then I would remind myself each and every day..there's going to be struggles and later on, I'm going to be worrying about adult stuff. But for now, I'm going to be smiling."
Shelby DeWitt tells News Talk KZRG she wrote her name along those of her best friends. "All my best friends will still be together, at least our names will be throughout the rest of time, as long as the high school's here."
