Joplin Agencies Complete Disaster Response Training



15 Joplin-area nonprofit agencies are now better prepared to withstand emergencies and disasters after completing a 5-month program through the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. CFO Louise Knauer tells News Talk KZRG what the Resilient Community program is all about:

"The workshops cover broad topics, from making sure you know who to contact, to financial and technological resiliency, to grief."

The 15 agencies that successfully completed the program are: Art Feeds, Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Missouri, Carthage Crisis Center, Children’s Center of Southwest Missouri, Children’s Haven of Southwest Missouri, Community Support Services, Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland, The Independent Living Center, Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity, Joplin Family Y, Joplin Humane Society, Joplin Workshops, Inc., Lafayette House, Teen Challenge International of Neosho, and Victory Ministry and Sports Complex.
