Riders are gearing up for Carthage's annual Maple Leaf Bicycle Tour this Saturday. It's an event that coincided with the Mother Road Marathon, but has since been moved to the spring. The bikers will be hitting the trails and going the distance. Joplin Trails Coalition President Braden gives News Talk KZRG a run down of the ride lengths.
"We've got five ride lengths. 15, 40, 62; which is the metric century, 80, and then of course our century ride, which 100 miles."
Horst says it's a beautiful ride.
"It starts at Kellogg Lake, goes through Golden City, back through Jasper to Keltoi Vineyards; it's on of our rest stops out there, back through Alba, and then back into Carthage."
It's not to late to sign up. Register at joplincoalition.org, or sign up at Kellogg Lake Saturday morning at 6:30.
