The Joplin Family YMCA needs your help. They just launched their 2014 Community Support Campaign with the hopes of raising $85,000. Development Director Kim Gray tells News Talk KZRG who the campaign supports.
"It supports residents in the community who cannot afford the programming provided by the Y. We believe everyone should be able to access our services regardless of income."
Gray says the money will support thousands by providing scholarships to underprivileged kids to participate in sports programs, after school child care, as well as memberships for families who can't afford them. The campaign is going on now until May 31st.
