Experts: Allergy Season Could be Worse in 2014

Experts are saying that the polar vortex we dealt with in the winter could lead to a more active allergy season. Dr. Ed Conrad of Joplin tells News Talk KZRG allergy season shouldn't be a surprise.

"It's the same thing every year. I don't understand why, more and more, the medical reports that come out on the news should end with a spooky noise or something."

The treatment method hasn't changed, Conrad adds:

"It's just symptomatic stuff. The basics haven't changed: change your air filters, check the pollen count before you head out for the day, those kind of things."

If you usually suffer from allergies, you should schedule an appointment with your doctor to go over the best ways to prevent the sniffles.
