No Student Injuries Reported in School Bus Accident

30 Carthage School district students were unharmed after their bus collided with a vehicle just north of Carthage along County Road 138 just before 4 Thursday afternoon. Sgt. Mike Watson with the Missouri Highway Patrol tells News Talk KZRG what happened.

"The school bus was traveling north on the west outer road and attempted to turn to the left, or the west onto Kafir Road and in doing so, turned into the path of driver of the vehicle that was traveling south."

Another bus came and picked the kids up to take them home. The driver of the bus, 47-year-old Richard Southard was cited with a ticket for failure to yield. The driver of the car, 26-year-old Brett Hurst suffered minor injuries, but refused treatment.
