A Granby man has been charged with child molestation. The alleged incident took place last Thursday while 25-year-old Jonathan Coe was driving his friend's 4-year-old daughter home from the park after a group outing. Newton County Prosecutor Jacob Skouby explains.
"There was not enough room in the car for all that were going to the park, so he volunteered to take our victim to the park. But the touching was to have happened away from the park before he took her home, and the touching consists of her touching him."
Skouby says the little girl is doing okay, and counseling is available if she needs it. Coe is being held in the Newton County jail. His bond has been set at $30,000. If convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison.
