MSSU Athletes Help Children's Haven Move

Children's Haven in Joplin, an organization that helps kids in a time of family crisis, is making a big move to a new home right next door. But in a home that houses 12 kids, there's a lot of stuff to move. About 50 Missouri Southern student athletes were on hand carrying everything from boxes of toys to boxes of food over into the new home. Kelly Wilson, MSSU's Director of Advising, Counseling, and Testing Services, as well as Children Haven's past Board President, tells News Talk KZRG Martin Luther King Jr. day was a perfect day to help.

"They needed help, and we thought 'what a great way to help on this day of service by having some Missouri Southern athletes help with the move.'"

The new 14,000 square foot facility will now be able to house 24 kids.
