For $50, you can make a Merry Christmas for a Jasper County foster child. Campus Pastor Shane Munn of Ignite Church tells News Talk KZRG last year the annual Christmas of Hope campaign bought toys and clothing for 600 Jasper County Children's Division kids.
"We always want to raise the bar, and if we can do more, we want to do it, but that's the bar. We want to help every kid in the Jasper County foster care system... but there's a lot."
Volunteers will buy, wrap, and deliver the gifts shortly before Christmas. Donations are accepted in Joplin at the Zimmer Radio offices on East 32nd Street or Ignite Church at 7th and Maiden Lane, or online at ChristmasofHope.org.
