Joplin Miracle League Holds First Games

They'd been told all their lives they couldn't play, but last night, 47 people from the ages of 5 to 20 did just that. Tuesay was the first day of Miracle League baseball games for the Will Norton Miracle Field at the Joplin Sports Complex. The Miracle League is a way for people with disabilities to play baseball, complete with a rubberized field to lessen the chance of injury... and everyone who gets to bat, gets to score. You can find photos of last night's games on the News Talk KZRG facebook page.
