The Quapaw High class of 2014 will get a senior trip after all. Earlier this week the seniors donated the $2,000 they raised for a trip to Dallas to instead volunteer after a tornado tore through the town Sunday. Today they were given a check for $35,000, donated by area businesses. Principal Terry Tyree tells NewsTalk KZRG he's proud of his students, and the trip to Dallas is back on... with more activities planned than before.
"It's great. Just when you're ready to give up on the young people, they do something like this. It's amazing. They've paid it forward, and now they're getting paid."
