Jasper County in Need of Poll Workers

Jasper County is in need of poll workers. Each of the county's 47 precincts needs four workers. Deputy Clerk Patty Moss says they don't need many more for the April 8th election, but the will need backups and workers for the August and November elections. She tells News Talk KZRG it's a long, but rewarding day.

"It is from 5:30 a.m to 7:00 p.m. A lot of people that are poll workers even take off vacation time because they feel like it's their civic duty to help out."

You do have to be a registered voter. There is training prior to election day, and the pay starts at $100. If you're interested, give them a call at 625-4307
