When Missouri Governor Jay Nixon talked about his veto of House Bill 253 in Joplin last night, he only allowed a handful of people to ask questions during the conference. State Representative Charlie Davis tells News Talk KZRG that's because those people were already chosen by Nixon.
"It was all scripted. It was all staged. No conservatives got to ask a question, nobody with an opposing view, which I believe is wrong. It was supposed to be an open forum."
Davis says he learned of it through a conversation with one of those who spoke at the event.
"I don't want to go into details on who, because they're in between a rock and a hard place, and I understand that... but they should've held this event at a movie theater instead of MSSU, because it was some of the best acting I've ever seen."
