Collings Seeks Death Penalty Reversal

Christopher Collings wants his death penalty sentence changed to life in prison without parole. He was convicted of the 2007 kidnapping, rape, and murder of 9-year-old Rowan Ford of Stella. His attorney, Rosemary Percival, says his confession to police came under duress.

Prosecutors tell News Talk KZRG Collings was read his rights before he talked to police, and say the entire case was handled properly. Collings' appeal is now before the Supreme Court. A ruling will be issued at a later date.
