Blunt Reacts to Report of Tax Dollars Funding Hamas
Last week Fox News reported that the Palestinian Authority's announcement to send troops to Gaza to support Hamas means that US taxpayers are indirectly supporting a terrorist organization. NewsTalk KZRG asked Missouri US Senator Roy Blunt whether or not he'll speak out against it:
"There are a lot of issues there to look at. I don't want to say at this point what's the best thing to do. I'm for whatever is the best thing to do for our country and for Israel. There are two major political parties in Gaza and the West Bank. One is bad, the other is worse. They united in a way that was clearly designed to disrupt any kind of peace talks."
Blunt says he'd like to see if there's some way to define or narrow assistance to the Palestinian Authority to make sure tax dollars aren't used to help Hamas in the future.
