A Neck City man is in custody accused of threatening utility workers with a gun on Tuesday. Workers from Osmose Utility Company were working on electrical poles along a right-of-way in Neck City when Mark Wormley accused the men of being on his property without permission. The workers called 911 and stated Wormley threatened them with a gun. Jasper County Detective Tim Williams tells NewsTalk KZRG, Deputies found Wormley hiding in the woods near his home. Wormley if facing charges of assault and illegal possession of a firearm by a felon.
Williams says Wormley was taken into custody for a 96-hour mental health evaluation.
