Indoor Marijuana Growing Operation Found In Columbus Home

Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies found an indoor marijuana growing operation, as well as meth, pot, cash and firearms during a search of a Columbus home Tuesday (8/1).  Sheriff David Groves tells News Talk KZRG the search turned up numerous marijuana plants with a street value of $40,000.  46-year-old Fredrick “Eddie” Sears is in custody. He’s being held in the Cherokee County Jail on allegations of Cultivation of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Criminal Use of a Firearm.
