Bond Set at $100,000 For Man Accused of Mowing Down Ten Commandments Monument

Mental health experts say a 32-year-old man who intentionally smashed his car into the Ten Commandments monument at Arkansas’ state capitol Wednesday underscores the lack of options available to those suffering from mental disorders. An Arkansas judge set bond at $100,000 for Michael Tate Reed. Reed’s sister, Mindy Poor, says her brother is Schizophrenic and his mental health has deteriorated in recent weeks. Reed was also convicted for the destruction of the Ten Commandments monument at Oklahoma’s state capitol 3 years ago.
