The Webb City Fire Department battled a house fire around 1:30 Sunday afternoon. The call came in from residents of the home at 410 North Liberty. Fire Chief Andy Roughton tells News Talk KZRG what the crew found when they arrived.”They found heavy smoke coming out of the attic area of the house, on the back side of the house.”

The fire apparently started around a water heater in the home’s utility room. About 25-percent of the home was damaged by the fire. Three people live there, but only two were home at the time. Fortunately, nobody was injured.
