$800 is Hiding in Joplin!

How would you like to have an extra $100 in your pocket every week? All you have to do is "like" the Alliance of Southwest Missouri on Facebook, and follow the clues. They got the idea for the scavenger hunt after hearing about cash being hidden around cities in California. The Alliance will be snapping pictures of the locations and posting it on Facebook over the next eight weeks. Director of Communication Julia Johannes tells News Talk KZRG how you can win.

"If they figure out where that location is at, they can go there, and there will be a hidden envelope. First they need to take a picture of themselves holding that hidden envelope and post it to our Facebook page."

Next, all you have to do is stop by the Alliance's office at 1027 South Main Suite 7.

The scavenger hunt is being sponsored by eight businesses at the Gryphon Building; Sweet Caroline's Cream and Coffee, Midwest IT Services, The Fork Restaurant, The Brush and Blade, Touches of Splendor, 3D/4D Imaging Center and Abundant Shine Inc. Johannes says it's a win-win for everyone.

"The Alliance will have more exposure in the community, our sponsors will get recognition through Facebook, our website, and advertisement , and then the people in the community will get $100 for free!"

The contest starts Tuesday . If the prize still isn't claimed by the end of the day, a second clue will be given on Wednesday.
